| Dotcast technology enables content
providers and broadcasters to leverage existing TV broadcast bandwidth
to distribute large amounts of digital data – quickly, securely
and, most importantly, cost-effectively.
This
means that digital assets can be delivered to any location able
to receive a TV signal. Dotcast gives media and entertainment companies
the capability to efficiently and securely distribute any type of
digital content, including movies, music, games, or even educational
programming directly to customers virtually anywhere in the world
Dotcast uses existing transmission infrastructure, such as broadcast
TV towers, to deliver large quantities of broadband digital data.
The service enables over-the-air broadcasters to cost- effectively
provide data to consumer receiving devices at very high speeds,
up to 3.9 Mbps. This high-density data is trickle broadcast to a
recording device, which allows the viewer to access it on demand.
Our datacasting technology is used in wireless broadband systems
operating within existing television transmissions, including NTSC
and PAL. With Dotcast, broadcasters can quickly distribute almost
any type of digital file to homes, businesses or even vehicles.
There is no need for additional spectrum, cables, cell towers or
satellite capacity. Dotcast technologies also work with emerging
HDTV systems.
